Yuzuki is the December moon seen through the window of a Japanese country house while yuzu fruit ripens yellow on the garden tree. It is a domestic image from late autumn and early winter, the season when yuzu-yu (a bath with yuzu fruits) is prepared for the winter solstice. The Katana Yuzuki captures that quality of the familiar, homey moon.
The Damascus steel blade with an authentic hamon (nagasa approximately 70 cm, 58–60 HRC hardness) showcases a double treatment: the Damascus pattern beneath and the temper line above. Traditional polish.
The fittings pick up the citrus-lunar palette: soft lemon-yellow ito over pale samegawa, a light-alloy tsuba with a yuzu-fruit motif (spherical form with small surface relief), a saya lacquered in cream-white with yellow gradients, and leaf-green sageo (the fruit’s leaves). Polished brass habaki.
A display piece for collectors who favor warm, domestic palettes, a decorative accent for traditional kitchens or garden rooms, and a gift for enthusiasts of Japanese cuisine — yuzu is a citrus featured in many recipes. A katana that brings a rustic December into your home.

Time-honored craft. Masterful gesture. A one-of-a-kind, hand-forged piece built to last.
The blade takes shape beneath the hammer. Each layer of steel is folded and re-welded under heat to create a core that is both strong and flexible.
The steel is brought to high temperature, then quenched rapidly: this fast cooling hardens the edge and reveals the hamon, the wavy line that runs along the blade.
The smith hand-polishes the blade with natural stones of increasing grit, revealing its luster, its edge, and the soul of the steel.
Each blade is crafted by master artisans according to traditional forging techniques.
