The Yamato is one of the most iconic weapons in Capcom’s Devil May Cry franchise: it is Vergil’s sword — Dante’s twin brother and son of the Demon Sparda — and carries a demonic legacy that runs through the entire saga. The Katana Yamato is a faithful replica of the video game’s design, reconstructed in the details that have captivated generations of players.
The forged steel blade (nagasa approximately 27.5 in., 58–60 HRC) features a uniformly polished finish that recalls the color of the original Yamato as seen in the cutscenes of Devil May Cry 3 and 5. The sori curvature is restrained, consistent with the weapon’s silhouette in the game.
The fittings reproduce the Capcom design in detail: the tsuka wrapped in black ito over dark samegawa, a dark-alloy tsuba bearing a demonic seal motif (the mon of Sparda, a stylized spiral), a urushi-black lacquered saya with the golden seal reproduced at the koiguchi, and black sageo. Gold-toned brass habaki.
An essential piece for Vergil fans and the Devil May Cry franchise at large, a complement for character cosplay across all variants (DMC3, DMC4, DMC5, and DMC5: Special Edition), and a display piece for action and hack-and-slash gaming spaces. A katana that brings Sparda’s demonic legacy into your home.

Time-honored craft. Masterful gesture. A one-of-a-kind, hand-forged piece built to last.
The blade takes shape beneath the hammer. Each layer of steel is folded and re-welded under heat to create a core that is both strong and flexible.
The steel is brought to high temperature, then quenched rapidly: this fast cooling hardens the edge and reveals the hamon, the wavy line that runs along the blade.
The smith hand-polishes the blade with natural stones of increasing grit, revealing its luster, its edge, and the soul of the steel.
Each blade is crafted by master artisans according to traditional forging techniques.
