In Japanese Buddhist iconography, the kinka (“golden flower”) appears frequently in paintings of the Buddha of Infinite Light: a stylized blossom that symbolizes revelation and enlightenment. The Katana Kinka is a replica built around that luminous symbolism.
The blade’s 1060 carbon steel (58–60 HRC hardness, roughly 70 cm nagasa) is finished with gilded details that accentuate its near-liturgical character. The natural sori curve, defined kissaki tip, and hand-polished ji (blade body) complete a classic profile.
The fittings embrace the golden palette: mustard-yellow ito over ray-skin samegawa, a brass tsuba engraved with a stylized kinka petal motif, a deep-black lacquered saya with gilded accents on the koiguchi and kojiri fittings, and an ochre sageo. A gilded copper habaki closes the composition visually.
A replica suited to collectors seeking pieces with a sacred or spiritual character — ideal for Buddhist-inspired home altars, meditation-room display cases, or as a gift for enthusiasts of Japanese religious iconography. The Kinka katana does not demand admiration; it invites contemplation.

Time-honored craft. Masterful gesture. A one-of-a-kind, hand-forged piece built to last.
The blade takes shape beneath the hammer. Each layer of steel is folded and re-welded under heat to create a core that is both strong and flexible.
The steel is brought to high temperature, then quenched rapidly: this fast cooling hardens the edge and reveals the hamon, the wavy line that runs along the blade.
The smith hand-polishes the blade with natural stones of increasing grit, revealing its luster, its edge, and the soul of the steel.
Each blade is crafted by master artisans according to traditional forging techniques.
