The term wakaba refers to the new leaves of all of Japan’s vegetation — their vivid, almost yellow green is considered the signature color of late spring. There is also the wakaba mark, the yellow-green sticker that new drivers must display on their car for the first year: a universal symbol of fresh inexperience. The Katana Wakaba captures that quality of absolute beginning.
The T10 steel blade (hardness 60–62 HRC, nagasa approximately 70 cm) is finished with a particularly bright mirror polish, similar to the just-formed cuticle of a new leaf in May sunlight.
The fittings embrace the spring green: new-leaf green ito over light samegawa, a light-alloy tsuba with a seven-pointed leaf motif (the classic maple), an apple-green lacquered saya with lemon-yellow sageo, and burnished silver habaki.
A display piece for admirers of spring palettes, a statement accent for bright, plant-filled interiors, or a gift for someone beginning a new chapter of life — a graduation, a new job, a move. A katana that marks a fresh start.

Time-honored craft. Masterful gesture. A one-of-a-kind, hand-forged piece built to last.
The blade takes shape beneath the hammer. Each layer of steel is folded and re-welded under heat to create a core that is both strong and flexible.
The steel is brought to high temperature, then quenched rapidly: this fast cooling hardens the edge and reveals the hamon, the wavy line that runs along the blade.
The smith hand-polishes the blade with natural stones of increasing grit, revealing its luster, its edge, and the soul of the steel.
Each blade is crafted by master artisans according to traditional forging techniques.
