The Legendary Viking Sword in its sharpened edition is a replica of the blades celebrated in the Icelandic sagas as objects of near-sacred value: Skofnung, Tyrfing, Naegling. Wide double-edged sharpened blade with a central fuller, curved bar guard, and five-lobed pommel decorated with Norse motifs.

A premium sharpened version for the most discerning collectors of legendary Viking swords. Prized by fans of the Icelandic sagas (Egil’s Saga, Njal’s Saga, the Volsunga Saga), cosplayers of Norse warrior-kings, and those decorating studios with a Norse mythology theme. The sharpened blade delivers the visual and tactile authenticity faithful to the epic weapon descriptions found in the sagas.

How to care for your blade

After every use, wipe the blade with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints. Carbon steel reacts to humidity and the natural acids on your skin: a light coat of mineral oil (Ballistol or camellia oil) applied once or twice a month protects against corrosion for the long term. For extended storage, keep the sword outside its scabbard, in a dry place away from direct sunlight. If a rust spot appears, gently buff it with a very fine stone and oil it immediately. A well-cared-for blade lasts through generations.

Is this sword sharpened?

Our carbon steel blades (1045, 1060, T10, Damascus) all ship sharpened by our partner smiths. Stainless steel blades (420, 440), made for collection and display, are not sharpened.

Our pieces ship in a scabbard and protective packaging suitable for initial transport from our warehouse to your home.
