The Templar Dagger — Blade of the Just is a short combat blade of the Knights Templar from the 12th–13th century, the natural companion to the long sword in close-quarters fighting. Blade in EN45 harmonic carbon steel (not stainless), heat-treated and tempered to approximately 48 HRC Rockwell hardness.

Full tang construction for maximum rigidity. Rated Schaukampf SK-C for historical reenactors. A high-quality replica suited to Templar cosplayers, Crusades reenactors, and decorators of sacred chivalry-themed rooms. Pair it with a long sword from the same order to recreate the complete equipment of the monk-warrior knight. The leather-wrapped wooden scabbard and steel fittings make this piece immediately recognizable as a dagger of the Templar brotherhood.

How to care for your blade

After every use, wipe the blade with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints. Carbon steel reacts to humidity and the natural acids on your skin: a light coat of mineral oil (Ballistol or camellia oil) applied once or twice a month protects against corrosion for the long term. For extended storage, keep the sword outside its scabbard, in a dry place away from direct sunlight. If a rust spot appears, gently buff it with a very fine stone and oil it immediately. A well-cared-for blade lasts through generations.

Is this sword sharpened?

Our carbon steel blades (1045, 1060, T10, Damascus) all ship sharpened by our partner smiths. Stainless steel blades (420, 440), made for collection and display, are not sharpened.
