Yumeji, literally “dream path,” is a poetic term for the journey the spirit takes during sleep. In Heian-period tales, separated lovers would meet along the yumeji before waking at dawn. The painter Takehisa Yumeji (1884–1934) took this as his pen name for his dreamy bijinga (portraits of beautiful women). The Katana Yumeji channels that oneiric quality.
The T10 steel blade (hardness 60–62 HRC, nagasa approximately 70 cm) carries an authentic, undulating hamon that, under diffused light, appears to flow like a movement in a dream. The differential hardening leaves the organic hardness-front line fully visible.
The fittings adopt a dreamlike palette: lavender-grey ito over light samegawa, a light-alloy tsuba with an elongated cloud motif (the dream cloud), a smoke-blue lacquered saya with antique-pink gradients, and light-grey sageo. Silver-patinated habaki.
A display piece for admirers of Taisho-era art, an artist’s studio or bedroom accent, or a gift for those who keep a dream journal or who appreciate oneiric literature (Junichirō Tanizaki, Yasunari Kawabata). A katana with the quality of an elusive memory.

Time-honored craft. Masterful gesture. A one-of-a-kind, hand-forged piece built to last.
The blade takes shape beneath the hammer. Each layer of steel is folded and re-welded under heat to create a core that is both strong and flexible.
The steel is brought to high temperature, then quenched rapidly: this fast cooling hardens the edge and reveals the hamon, the wavy line that runs along the blade.
The smith hand-polishes the blade with natural stones of increasing grit, revealing its luster, its edge, and the soul of the steel.
Each blade is crafted by master artisans according to traditional forging techniques.
