The Japanese camellia (tsubaki) is traditionally associated with the samurai code: it is the only flower that falls whole from the plant without losing its petals, an image of a life concluded without compromise. The Katana Tsubaki translates this symbolism into a refined replica built for display and contemplation.
The Damascus steel blade develops hundreds of layered folds that reveal an organic pattern on the surface, resembling the veining of flower petals. Every piece is visually unique: the flows of steel never repeat themselves. Blade length approximately 70 cm, polished finish.
The defining feature of the fittings is the authentic ray skin (samegawa) on the handle: its natural granular texture, beneath the camellia-red ito wrapping, delivers a visually rich grip. The dark-alloy tsuba carries a carved four-petal floral motif. Lacquered black scabbard with coordinated sageo.
A collector’s replica for those who appreciate Japanese culture, ideal for spaces with a reflective character, a gift for readers of bushido literature (the Hagakure, Nitobe’s Bushido), and a showcase piece that pairs beautifully with a Zen-style garden.

Time-honored craft. Masterful gesture. A one-of-a-kind, hand-forged piece built to last.
The blade takes shape beneath the hammer. Each layer of steel is folded and re-welded under heat to create a core that is both strong and flexible.
The steel is brought to high temperature, then quenched rapidly: this fast cooling hardens the edge and reveals the hamon, the wavy line that runs along the blade.
The smith hand-polishes the blade with natural stones of increasing grit, revealing its luster, its edge, and the soul of the steel.
Each blade is crafted by master artisans according to traditional forging techniques.
