In the myth of Tanabata, celebrated on July 7 in Japan, Orihime (Vega) and Hikoboshi (Altair) are separated all year by the celestial river, the Ginka, the Milky Way, and may meet only one night over a bridge of magpies. The Katana Ginka carries this name of cosmic threshold and translates its ardent nature into a deep red palette.
The red Damascus steel blade is achieved through a controlled oxidation process that shifts the patina toward purple-red, letting the underlying Damascus patterns show through in lighter tones. A galactic effect, like a nebula photographed by Hubble. Nagasa of approximately 70 cm, hardness 58-60 HRC.
The fittings continue the cosmic palette: purple-red ito over samegawa, dark alloy tsuba with stars arranged as the Lyra constellation, black lacquered saya with gold dots distributed like a star cloud, crimson sageo. Burnished copper habaki.
Recommended for collectors who favor cosmic-romantic designs, a gift for astronomy enthusiasts or comparative mythology fans, a display piece for bedrooms with low lighting or retro-futurist themed rooms. A katana that carries within it a year of waiting and one night of reunion.

Time-honored craft. Masterful gesture. A one-of-a-kind, hand-forged piece built to last.
The blade takes shape beneath the hammer. Each layer of steel is folded and re-welded under heat to create a core that is both strong and flexible.
The steel is brought to high temperature, then quenched rapidly: this fast cooling hardens the edge and reveals the hamon, the wavy line that runs along the blade.
The smith hand-polishes the blade with natural stones of increasing grit, revealing its luster, its edge, and the soul of the steel.
Each blade is crafted by master artisans according to traditional forging techniques.
