Hand-forged in 1060 carbon steel (58–60 HRC hardness), this straight blade measures approximately 20 inches and reaches 29.5 inches overall — ideal for close-quarters engagement and rapid draw. The geometric point and center balance make each movement instinctive. Sharpened entirely by hand in our workshops, it retains the subtle resonance of traditional forge work.

The matte black wooden scabbard, free of ornament, slides with a quiet, controlled sound. The handle is wrapped in black cotton over a hidden samegawa, with a square iron tsuba typical of the ninja arsenal. Every detail is designed to disappear: no reflections, no clangor, only the blade.

How to care for your blade

After every use, wipe the blade with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints. Carbon steel reacts to humidity and the natural acids on your skin: a light coat of mineral oil (Ballistol or camellia oil) applied once or twice a month protects against corrosion for the long term. For extended storage, keep the sword outside its scabbard, in a dry place away from direct sunlight. If a rust spot appears, gently buff it with a very fine stone and oil it immediately. A well-cared-for blade lasts through generations.

Is this sword sharpened?

Our carbon steel blades (1045, 1060, T10, Damascus) all ship sharpened by our partner smiths. Stainless steel blades (420, 440), made for collection and display, are not sharpened.
