Yuunagi is the moment at sunset when the daytime breezes fall still and the night breezes have not yet begun: a suspension of wind lasting only a few minutes, during which the sea and the air are perfectly motionless. It is one of the most precise terms in the Japanese maritime lexicon. The Katana Yuunagi captures that quality of suspended evening calm.
The T10 steel blade (60–62 HRC hardness, nagasa approximately 70 cm) carries an authentic undulating hamon echoing the motionless profile of a sea at sunset, without current. A mirror-polished finish that catches the colors of the evening sky.
The fittings adopt the palette of maritime dusk: navy-blue ito over pale samegawa, a silver-patinated tsuba with a flat-horizon motif beneath a setting sun, a saya lacquered in sunset-blue with pink-orange gradients, and copper sageo. Rose-gold habaki.
A piece for those who live in coastal cities, a display piece for rooms with an ocean view, and a gift for sailors or sport fishermen who understand the value of an evening calm. A katana with the stillness of the Pacific at sunset.

Time-honored craft. Masterful gesture. A one-of-a-kind, hand-forged piece built to last.
The blade takes shape beneath the hammer. Each layer of steel is folded and re-welded under heat to create a core that is both strong and flexible.
The steel is brought to high temperature, then quenched rapidly: this fast cooling hardens the edge and reveals the hamon, the wavy line that runs along the blade.
The smith hand-polishes the blade with natural stones of increasing grit, revealing its luster, its edge, and the soul of the steel.
Each blade is crafted by master artisans according to traditional forging techniques.
