The tachibana is Japan’s native bitter orange — a citrus fruit distinct from the mikan and the yuzu, indigenous to the archipelago. Its leaves and fruit decorate the clan crests (mon) of numerous samurai families, including the Tachibana clan of Kyushu. It is also cited in the Kojiki as one of the first consecrated fruits. The Katana Tachibana pays tribute to this clan-and-nature heritage.
The T10 steel blade (hardness 60–62 HRC, nagasa approximately 70 cm) carries an authentic hamon. The tsuka is wrapped over genuine ray skin (authentic samegawa).
The fittings adopt an autumn-citrus palette: burnt-orange ito over authentic samegawa, a bronze tsuba chiseled with a tachibana fruit motif (spherical, with a small crown of leaves), a deep-orange lacquered saya with green gradients (the leaves), and mustard sageo. Burnished gold habaki.
A display piece for collectors familiar with samurai heraldry or those who have visited Kyushu — home of the Tachibana — ideal for interiors with a warm autumn palette, or a gift for scholars of the Kojiki or enthusiasts of Japanese native botanics. A katana that holds a clan emblem.

Time-honored craft. Masterful gesture. A one-of-a-kind, hand-forged piece built to last.
The blade takes shape beneath the hammer. Each layer of steel is folded and re-welded under heat to create a core that is both strong and flexible.
The steel is brought to high temperature, then quenched rapidly: this fast cooling hardens the edge and reveals the hamon, the wavy line that runs along the blade.
The smith hand-polishes the blade with natural stones of increasing grit, revealing its luster, its edge, and the soul of the steel.
Each blade is crafted by master artisans according to traditional forging techniques.
