The axe was the preferred weapon of medieval knights, especially during the Crusades. This powerful and imposing weapon features a broad, expertly sharpened blade decorated with a large cross carved at its center. The blade is firmly mounted on a solid hardwood handle, reinforced with rivets and metal bands on both sides for added protection. The handle is smooth and wrapped in soft black leather to ensure a firm and comfortable grip. All metal parts, including the rings at the end of the handle, are blackened for an elegant and functional look.

Comes with a leather sheath to protect the axe head.

How to care for your blade

After every use, wipe the blade with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints. Carbon steel reacts to humidity and the natural acids on your skin: a light coat of mineral oil (Ballistol or camellia oil) applied once or twice a month protects against corrosion for the long term. For extended storage, keep the sword outside its scabbard, in a dry place away from direct sunlight. If a rust spot appears, gently buff it with a very fine stone and oil it immediately. A well-cared-for blade lasts through generations.

Is this sword sharpened?

Our carbon steel blades (1045, 1060, T10, Damascus) all ship sharpened by our partner smiths. Stainless steel blades (420, 440), made for collection and display, are not sharpened.
