“Anton” recalls Saint Anthony the Abbot, the Egyptian desert hermit of the 4th century, but also the many European medieval monks who bore the same name. Associated with the ascetic rather than the courtier, this heavy black cotton shirt carries that same Spartan character.

Dense fabric that ages well, a modest neckline, classic-cut sleeves, and a length that works worn tucked or loose as a tunic. Thoughtful versatility built into every seam.

How to care for your blade

After every use, wipe the blade with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints. Carbon steel reacts to humidity and the natural acids on your skin: a light coat of mineral oil (Ballistol or camellia oil) applied once or twice a month protects against corrosion for the long term. For extended storage, keep the sword outside its scabbard, in a dry place away from direct sunlight. If a rust spot appears, gently buff it with a very fine stone and oil it immediately. A well-cared-for blade lasts through generations.

Is this sword sharpened?

Our carbon steel blades (1045, 1060, T10, Damascus) all ship sharpened by our partner smiths. Stainless steel blades (420, 440), made for collection and display, are not sharpened.
