Japanese spring has a quality of exuberance that has captivated centuries of painters, poets, and photographers: it is the moment when cherry trees turn white and pink, gardens fill with fuchsia azalea, and the air warms enough for outdoor lunches on the terrace. The Katana Spring translates that chromatic explosion into a display piece with a luminous palette.
The golden Damascus steel blade features a distinctive finishing treatment: the permanent gilding over Damascus steel creates a rare visual effect in which the layered patterns of the Damascus are enhanced by a warm underlying luminosity — similar to noon sunlight on a field of flowers. Nagasa approximately 70 cm, hardness 58–60 HRC.
The fittings embrace the spring palette: powder-pink ito over light samegawa, a burnished gold tsuba with a five-petal cherry blossom motif, an antique-pink lacquered saya with golden gradients, and cream sageo. Burnished gold habaki.
A natural choice for collectors who favor warm, luminous palettes, a display piece for sunlit rooms where spring light enters directly, or a gift for admirers of hanami or those who have visited Kyoto in April. A katana that brings the world’s favorite season into your home.

Time-honored craft. Masterful gesture. A one-of-a-kind, hand-forged piece built to last.
The blade takes shape beneath the hammer. Each layer of steel is folded and re-welded under heat to create a core that is both strong and flexible.
The steel is brought to high temperature, then quenched rapidly: this fast cooling hardens the edge and reveals the hamon, the wavy line that runs along the blade.
The smith hand-polishes the blade with natural stones of increasing grit, revealing its luster, its edge, and the soul of the steel.
Each blade is crafted by master artisans according to traditional forging techniques.
