A garment that honors historical codes, far from cheap costume-store fare.
The art of costume
“Sindri” is one of the two Norse dwarf smiths (brother of Brokkr) who forged Thor’s hammer Mjölnir. The herringbone pattern was a weaving technique found in Viking archaeological sites at Hedeby and Lübeck.
Visible herringbone weave on the fabric, classic leg wrap winding, adjustable length. A decorative and historically grounded version of the standard leg wrap.
Popular with historically meticulous reenactors, Norse dwarf-smith cosplayers, and participants at high-level Viking festivals (Foteviken, Wolin). Pair with slim trousers and a short tunic.
Available colors: Blue Herringbone, Orange Herringbone
