The story behind the blade

The Templar Dagger: Soldier of Christ takes its name from the founding motto of the Poor Knights of Christ: Militum Xristi. A companion piece to the Templar longsword, worn at the belt for close-quarters combat and the ritual observances of the Order.

Short double-edged blade, guard decorated with the Templar cross, disc pommel. An authentic-style historical dagger suited to Knights Templar cosplayers, Crusades re-enactors (Outremer, Acre, Hattin), and collectors decorating sacred chivalry-themed rooms. Pairs perfectly with the Soldier of Christ sword from the same series to recreate the complete equipment of a warrior-monk. Particularly appreciated for the quality of the guard and pommel, which closely reflect the official iconography of the Order of the Temple.

How to care for your blade

After every use, wipe the blade with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints. Carbon steel reacts to humidity and the natural acids on your skin: a light coat of mineral oil (Ballistol or camellia oil) applied once or twice a month protects against corrosion for the long term. For extended storage, keep the sword outside its scabbard, in a dry place away from direct sunlight. If a rust spot appears, gently buff it with a very fine stone and oil it immediately. A well-cared-for blade lasts through generations.

Is this sword sharpened?

Our carbon steel blades (1045, 1060, T10, Damascus) all ship sharpened by our partner smiths. Stainless steel blades (420, 440), made for collection and display, are not sharpened.

Carrying it in public is restricted by state and local laws: a sword is considered a bladed weapon, and transporting it outside your home without a legitimate reason (event, training, transport to a club) may be subject to local regulations. Our pieces ship in a scabbard and protective packaging suitable for initial transport from our warehouse to your home.
